Chairman

Dato' Azmir Merican assumed the Group Managing Director role of Sime Darby Property in April 2020. Previously, he helmed various senior leadership positions and has a wealth of cross-functional experience in corporate advisory. Dato' Azmir was the former Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of UEM Edgenta Berhad, one of Asia's largest Asset Management & Infrastructure Solutions companies. He led the merger and acquisition as well as integration of five companies involved in Healthcare Services, Infrastructure, Real Estate and Consultancy with operations in Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, UAE, India, Taiwan, New Zealand and Australia as part of the creation of UEM Edgenta Berhad.

BETTY LAU SUI HING

Director

Ms. Betty Lau, a Permanent Resident of Malaysia, joined Sime Darby Property Berhad on 3 December 2018 as Chief Financial Officer ("CFO") Designate and was subsequently appointed as Group Chief Financial Officer on 1 April 2019.

Prior to this, she was the CFO of Malaysia Land Group of Companies, Hatten Land Limited and IOI Properties Group Berhad. With more than 25 years of experience in financial management under her belt, Ms. Lau possesses a strong financial acumen within several areas of competency, including corporate restructuring, treasury management, budgetary controls, corporate reporting and taxation. She has also held various senior finance positions in both local and foreign companies including Singapore, the United States of America, and the People’s of Republic of China. Being an accountant by profession, she paved the way for her career by working in professional audit firms for six (6) years. Since then, she has served companies in a diverse list of industries namely information technologies, media and broadcast, education, leisure and hospitality as well as property development.

In her current role, Ms. Lau spearheads the full spectrum of financial management of the Group, primarily providing strategic financial leadership and support to the senior management and the Board.

JAI MIRPURI

Director

Mr. Jai Mirpuri is Head, Southeast Asia driving business strategies and expanding ESR’s footprint across Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, and the Philippines. Mr. Mirpuri took on this expanded portfolio in March 2024.

With over 20 years of experience (including over 16 years with ESR Group), Mr. Mirpuri has raised over US$2 billion in funds raised and 50 investments across Japan, China, Singapore and India. Before his current appointment, he was Head of ESR Singapore Development & ESR Thailand. His past roles include co-CEO of ESR India and Head of Investments for Japan & China for Redwood Group (now ESR). Prior to joining ESR, Mr. Mirpuri has worked at Deutsche Bank (Singapore) & Capital One Bank (USA). He has an MBA from INSEAD and a Bachelors and Masters degree in Aerospace Engineering from IIT Bombay.

STEVEN RICHARD MCMAHON

Mr. Steven Richard McMahon was appointed as Director of SDPLOG replacing Mr. Stephen George Hawkins on 24th April 2024.Currently, Steven is a Director in ESR Capital and Funds Management Team. Steven has over 11 years of experience in real estate and is responsible for capital raising and business development in the ESR Funds Management function. Steven is based out of ESR Singapore office and has been part of the SDPLOG fund raising efforts.

Steven’s experience includes designing and launching products throughout APAC, including legal and tax structuring, investor roadshows and fund closings as well as advising on fund management issues. Steven is also a qualified lawyer and is admitted to practice in New South Wales, Australia. Prior to joining Logos ESR Group, he was the General Counsel for Savills Australia and New Zealand based in Sydney.

AURELIA LEE MAY YOKE

Co-General Manager of Fund

Aurelia is Sime Darby Property’s Chief Operating Officer of Investment & Asset Management, and the Co-General Manager for the Fund.

Aurelia has had around 15 years of relevant industry experience, including 4 years of investment banking, more than 6 years in an investments / private equity role at Khazanah Nasional Berhad and a further 4 years in UEM Edgenta Berhad and Sime Darby Property with oversight over strategy, planning, corporate finance and investor relations activities.

DAVID CARAM ABOUD

Co-General Manager of Fund and Development Committee Member

David is LOGOS’ Head of Malaysia and is the Co-General Manager for the Fund. David is an experienced real estate investment professional with relevant industry experience spanning almost 30 years. He has held senior positions in Axis REIT and was a pioneering members in establishing the private shariah-compliant SEA industrial real estate fund for Guidance Investments. His experience includes Southeast Asia industrial and logistics real estate acquisitions, development and leasing for private vehicles and listed REITs. He currently heads up LOGOS Malaysia where his primary role is to grow LOGOS's presence in Malaysia, taking the lead in business development, acquisition and also investment related activities, with the support of LOGOS Group.

APPOLLO LEONG

Development Committee Member

Appollo Leong joined Sime Darby Property in 2011 as Development Manager where he was integral in the master planning and development of Sime Darby Property's City of Elmina. He is presently the Chief Operating Officer for Township Development.

Prior to joining Sime Darby Property, he was based in the United Kingdom for the first 10 years of his career. He started as an architect at the Manchester office of Aedas, a leading international architecture and design practice. In 2005, he joined Christopher Rogers Ltd. as an architect and planning & development consultant, where he managed and contributed to the full spectrum of a development, inclusive of development feasibility & market research, land & approval matters, master planning & redevelopment, design & construction management, development funding & cashflow, amongst others. In 2009, he brought his breadth of experience into the Peel Group, a leading infrastructure, transport and real estate investment house in the UK, where he served as a planning & development consultant before relocating back to Malaysia under the TalentCorp returning expert programme in 2011.
